Melnyk says that Cloud Passage No. 3 is played here at a moderately slow speed, and that when played live in concert speed he found his "right hand undergo a painful and difficult transformation internally with bones and tendons being shifted into their 'perfect' structure... with the joyous result that the right hand became pure light." It is quite amazing to consider, just as these three pieces are to listen to.
